Dr. Maria E. Fernandez has over 20 years of experience in evaluation, particularly with SAMHSA-funded grant projects. She has served as the Lead Evaluator for the System of Care demonstration projects in the CMHS-funded NC System of Care Demonstration Projects, in the Adolescent Treatment Coordination Project, and currently coordinates the evaluation efforts for the NC System of Care Expansion Implementation Project as well as the statewide SBIRT initiative. In addition, she is currently the SEOW Chair for the North Carolina, Division of MH/DD/SAS, Community Policy Management Section, and the Epidemiological Workgroup Contact with SAMHSA.
