Insurance and Billing Specialist
Donna Guinard gained valuable experience working as a secretary in a variety of offices prior to pursuing a college education. In 1984 she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems with an area of specialization in Accounting from Bowling Green State University. She then worked for IBM, first as a programmer, then as a Systems Engineer for eight years providing technical support to IBM’s customers. In 1993, she left IBM and soon formed Medical Information Services. She has enjoyed serving the mental health community in Greensboro, NC, providing a wide array of medical office support services, specializing in insurance claims filing and client billing. She is a Certified HIPAA Professional, conducting workshops on both HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations for small providers.
